
The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is a major infrastructure initiative by the Central Government aimed at developing smart cities and integrating next-generation technologies. The goal is to create futuristic industrial cities with high-speed, high-connectivity enabled by the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), which is the flagship program of the Government of India. This ambitious project is being implemented and promoted through the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd. (DMICDC).In Phase 1 of the program, the development of eight manufacturing cities, including the Ahmedabad-Dholera Investment Region, will be connected to the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), enhancing connectivity and fostering industrial growth in the region.

Railway
- MRTS (Mass Rapid Transit System) is planned to connect DSIR with Ahmedabad, with the land already acquired for the project.
- The Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) will be extended to DSIR, enhancing connectivity and supporting industrial growth.
- A Dholera Logistic Park Railway Station is proposed within DSIR, further strengthening the region's logistics and transportation infrastructure.

- The two-lane State Highway is being expanded to a four-lane highway, improving connectivity and traffic flow.
- A dedicated 6-lane access-controlled expressway connecting Ahmedabad and Dholera is under implementation, with a width of 250m throughout Dholera SIR.
- The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is linking Dholera to Delhi and Mumbai, with the DMIC 10-lane expressway already completed over 70%.

Railway
- The proposed Dholera International Airport will be located near the northern boundary of DSIR, enhancing regional connectivity.
- Environment Clearance from MoEF and site clearance from MoCA have been obtained for the development of the International Airport at Dholera.
- Bhavnagar Domestic Airport and Ahmedabad International Airport are located within a 2-hour distance from DSIR, providing convenient access to nearby airports.
- The Dholera International Airport is expected to be completed by 2025.
- The Dholera Airport is projected to serve a population of 20 million over the next 20 years.

Seaways
- World’s First CNG Port is set to be developed in Bhavnagar, with Rs 1,900 crore allocated to this brownfield project.
- The project will be jointly developed by Foresight Group (UK), Padmanabh Mafatlal Group (Mumbai), and a consortium based in the Netherlands.
- The proposed CNG port terminal will have a capacity to handle 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum.
- Pipavav Port, located about 200 km from DSIR, is the nearest port with a wide array of cargo handling capabilities, including Container, Bulk, Capital Goods, Liquid, and Gas.
- DSIR is strategically connected to other major ports like Mundra and Kandla.
